  • FROZEN FLORA Carlotta Gherzi for Sado' a/winter 11/12Carlotta Gherzi Autumn/Winter 11/12 collection for Sado’ is entitled 'Frozen Flora'. This line is designed for the wicked gal whose secret dream is to be the Ice Queen and live in her beautiful iced-over world. For A/W, think tailored dresses, in short, to the knee and floor length evening gowns that wrap the body contours and are crossed by outlines of plant life's veins of life. Leather and sheepskin jackets are bodycon but yet comfortable due to the use of the stretch leather. Carlotta's choice of fabrics add another dimension: a breathtaking sorbet colour palette of ice covered raspberry, blueberry, apple green, lilac and Charleston gray, some of these colours will be set against charcoal background, in printed silk chiffon, crepe de chine, organza, solid spandex jersey, organic ecological wool, butter soft leather and textured sheepskin. Ms Gherzi's collection embraces all of her signatures, including the one shoulder evening dress with woven bows that cross from one side of the décolletage and creep over the shoulder & nestle into opposite corner at the back of a flowing jersey dress. Again Ms Gherzi has two of her own developed textile prints, one large abstract one that's a vision of her Flora, the other is smaller. The small print lives along with the superb cut-short panel dress, plus a cropped leather jacket with asymmetric pleats sprayed with this season colour. Not forgetting the brand signature 13cm killer high heels and it must-have bags in the collection's colour ways. Carlotta says "A female of distinction always looks her best, when she's completely at ease whatever the weather throws at her", and this autumn/winter collection with subtle detailing, and signature print, will secure Carlotta client base from Moscow, Milan, Paris, New York, Miami and London will remain loyal to her modern designs, while wrapped up warm to brace the A/W climate in 2011.
